History of the Bangkok British Club

Bangkok British Club was founded in 1903 by British nationals living in Thailand. The original British Club Bangkok clubhouse was constructed in 1910 and since then it has undergone various expansions and land has been purchased several times so as to expand the grounds of the club. The buildings of the club look like they are located in London and resemble a British mansion. Its superbly landscaped grounds which includes for example its very own indoor and outdoor tennis courts, Olympic size outdoor swimming pool and a number of excellent food and beverage options.

The British Club Bangkok is located near the financial and commercial centres of Bangkok. The Bangkok social club is located nearby Silom and the Suriwongse road. This makes the British Club Bangkok ideal for expats living in town, expat families, business meetings or a great place to go for a quick lunch.

The Bangkok British Club has a strong focus on a family and social atmosphere on one side and a elegant business club on the other side. The club organizes many children's events which is something that lacks with many other Bangkok clubs. This great expat club often organizes events and entertainment which has lead to the club becoming an important part of life for many expat families and wealthy Thai families. Although the Bangkok British Club was originally founded for those that came from the British Commonwealth, the Bangkok British Club has since then opened its doors for people from all countries. The ever so popular Bangkok country club style Bangkok British Club currently has well over 1000 members and well over 40 countries are represented.
